Go Viral And Mobile...or Be Left In The Dust

Most of us by now have developed some “interesting” mobile habits...texting while driving (a big no-no these days), surfing the web from our phones, catching a tv show on Hulu or the like while waiting at the doctor’s office, etc. Notice, I said most of us...that means you’re certainly not alone. In fact, I saw a sick stat the other day in a B2C article that said â…“ of each minute on the web is accessed from a mobile device. One third as in 33.33%...wow! Unbelievable as that sounds...it’s true.

What does this mean to you? Well for starters make sure your website is mobile friendly. Many times this type of site upgrade is inexpensive and will cost just a few hundred dollars. Then after getting that done, start considering the merits of developing a phone app or a tablet centric site. Why? Well simply because handheld mobile devices are the future. There is some talk now about finding ways to build websites that are designed to be intuitive and conform/ fit automatically to every device and environment. We at Consult PR are front and center in the discussion of that topic in the development community, but until that day comes...do what you can to adjust to mobile mania. And for those asking...will the technology evolution ever end (or as I like to call it the webennaisance)...as they say in Brooklyn “Fuhgeddaboudit.”
