Google Ads Begins Distributing Advertiser Credits To Small And Medium-Sized Businesses

StaffJune 2020

The current economic disruption due to the Coronavirus has had major ramifications for many small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across the nation. A few weeks ago, we told you about Google Ads’ plan to give SMBs worldwide $340 million in ad credits, and now we have an update on this program.

Who is eligible?

Small and medium-sized businesses globally, who have spent with a Google Ads account in ten out of twelve months of 2019, and in January and/or February of this year.

How much is the ad credit?

The ad credit amount will vary by customer based on past Google Ads spend, the billing address of your country, and currency of the Google Ads account. Each eligible customer will receive one credit up to a maximum amount of what is equivalent to $1,000 USD.

How do I know if I received/will receive an ad credit?

Ad credits will be automatically applied to eligible Google Ads accounts and a notification email will be sent to the primary account contact. Ad credits must be used by 31st December, 2020 or they will expire.

Google chose to grant these ad credits as a way of reaching their small business customers to show their support and solidarity with these businesses as they continue to engage with their customers.

If any more updates are published about this program, we’ll be sure to keep you informed. We’re here for you with any questions you might have.
