Now That You’re Social Distancing, Why Not Think Up The Next Great Phone App Idea?

StaffApril 2020

With more people at home practicing social distancing and self-isolation, people are finding creative ways to spend their time. Some people finally have the time and motivation to work on things they simply don’t have the time to invest in during their regular and oftentimes busy schedule. For some, that productivity might come into play via DIY projects around the house or in learning/developing a new craft or language. For others, it might be innovation and perhaps even to the extent of a new monetizable phone app idea.

People are coming across many inefficiencies not just related to this Coronavirus outbreak, but also to daily life, that could be solved/mitigated with a novel phone app. Consider the President’s remarks from just a few weeks ago about developing an app that would set off an alarm if you're within 6 ft of someone else that has the app on their phone as a way to enforce social distancing. While that’s just an idea, there are some countries actually working toward developing apps to make contact tracing easier and reduce the spread of coronavirus with your smartphone. When you consider that this dreaded pandemic is cyclical, and we may see a resurgence before the development of a vaccine is finalized, those that can figure out ways to make the experience safer the next time around could realize significant returns

It is undeniable that this pandemic will fuel a new wave of innovation. We are seeing the importance of technology for things like remote working, schooling and communications. If this pandemic has unearthed an idea for something you think will be  a successful phone app, we can help you bring that to fruition. Reach out to us to schedule a virtual consultation to see what’s possible.
